Want a peek at my little girl's birthday gift? Isn't she sweet? I'm most certain every five year old girl needs a life sized doll that can also store toys and treasures inside and comes complete with forget- me- nots, a rhinestone buckle and painted fingernails. I for one would certainly need one if I was a little girl again. I know my little lady's going to adore her. Right up her alley, she'll be.
I used to do my little lady's hair just like this when she was a tiny babe with curls. Her big eyes and eyelashes reminded me of her too...
That rhinestone buckle and dainty red fingernails....
Here's where she'll be able to keep her trinkets and her toys. Love that form and function! Oh, and yes, that's my vacuum cleaner back there. I just finished up sprinkling her with a baking soda & lavender essential oil mixture and then vacuuming her off to freshen her up a bit. Love the dingy, time worn colors. The scent has sometimes got to go, though!
I found her while doing a bit of antiquing with my husband on a date day a long while back(yes, I conned him into antiquing on a date day, and no, he'd never do it again.... It was a one sided date night, I'll admit) He thinks she's ridiculous and that no other person on earth would like her. Just goes to show you he was never a five year old girl..... I know for a fact she'll fall in love with her big dolly and she'll have a name for her in ten seconds flat, as she seems to name everything she comes across.
Wow! What a beautiful doll!! I love her, everything about her! I have never come across anything like that. Im sure your daughter will be thrilled! What a find. My husband has "come around" after many years and now enjoys stopping at antique stores and junk stores, so maybe... yours will actually enjoy it to some day, you can always hope, right? Have a good day Gabrielle.

Of course she'll love it! My little 4-1/2 year old grand baby would be crazy about it, but then would pull the flowers off and put them in her own hair, and try to pull the doll off the frame to see how it works. She isn't the most gentle with toys.
Gosh, I love the idea of a doll with storage, though!! It makes me want to create one out of a tomato cage.... Think how handy that would be to have, to pile toys into!! Cuter than a toybox for sure.
I hope we get photos of the birthday girl with her sweet new friend.

I would LOVE HER Gabrielle.
What a treasure for sure. Maybe you can hide a little kitty or puppy under that sweet skirt of heres...just saying : )
Julie just left. She's on the plane flying back to her "life". I'm bummed out really. Her so called friends are not true to her, and it makes me sooooooo mad... but that's another story.
We had fun. We drove on the ice bridge yesterday, had lunch in a little French Bistro, got to walk/skate on the Canal in Ottawa, ate dinner with Sister Lolotte and the nuns. We had a fab day in Mtl. with Manon, and we even had time to make some cool things for our get together with the blogging girls this summer.
Hopefully it's right around the corner. We have had some great sunny cold days. I hear the snow it coming though: (
Miss you
Love You
Love Me.

She's so precious and unique. I would want one too. So you are not one bit crazy for wanting her or if you are you have company. I love your style.

Oh I LOVE her sooo much. I have 5 of them myself, but none are as big as this lady. I think your little girl will fall in love as soon as she sees her. What a special gift.
Blessings and Hugs, Deanna

Oh my my my! I am tearing up as I too had a doll like that got her when I was one. I am 40! Story goes that doll and I were inseperatble sp. And when we flew here to US. I cried the entire time as I couldn't take her with me. Thanks for sharing.
